For an educational experience the Daintree provides you with many attractions such as the Daintree Discovery Centre. Interpretive walks, 23m high canopy tower and display centers provide a unique learning experience. The heart of the Wet Tropics Rainforest is just a hop and a skip across the river by the Daintree Ferry. The spectacular lookout on Alexandra Range is also not far at all from the ferry. Here you will witness the spellbinding sight of the Daintree River wonderously meeting the Coral Sea through the rainforest. Arange of bushwalks will accomodate everyone from a stroll along a boardwalk to difficult climbs. Many of the walks can be done on your own, however, Tour guides are available from one of the many tour companies operating in the daintree area. Some of the available tours include day and night walks, four wheel drive tours, reef trips, kayaking, fishing on the river or the reef, and cruises or tours of the river and mangroves.
