Mooroobool is only a few minutes from Cairns City making it a great suburb to live in for the busy working couple. Mooroobool is an area rich in history. The most notable address is the House on the Hill which is the former location of Z Force which was based in Cairns. A commando unit which made raids into Singapore wreaking havoc to enemy shipping during the Second World War. Many of these men were beheaded after being captured after a raid.
